Hoptimist Christmas and Animal Figures

Hoptimist is a quintessential piece of Danish design history, originally conceived in 1968 by cabinetmaker Gustav Ehrenreich. These spring-loaded bobblehead figures, notably the 'Bimble' and 'Bumble' characters, were designed to spread optimism and joy through their simple, playful movement. After a hiatus in production following 1974, the brand was revitalized in 2009 by Lotte Steffensen and Erik Ehrenreich, capturing a new generation of design enthusiasts.

Today, the brand offers a vast array of themed collections, including the Christmas series seen here featuring Santas, reindeers, and snowmen, alongside various animal and character editions. While rooted in Danish craftsmanship and originally manufactured in Ehrenreich's own factory in Denmark, the brand is now part of a larger global distribution network under the F&H Group. The figures continue to be produced with a focus on high-quality materials like ABS plastic, wood, and steel, maintaining the iconic minimalist aesthetic that made them world-famous.
