Pringles is an iconic brand of potato and wheat-based stackable snack chips. Originally developed by Procter & Gamble in the United States in the 1960s, the brand revolutionized the snack industry with its uniform saddle shape (paraboloid) and pressurized tubular packaging designed to prevent breakage.
In 2012, the brand was acquired by the Kellogg Company, which later spun off its snacks division into a new standalone entity named Kellanova in 2023. As of late 2024, Mars, Incorporated reached an agreement to acquire Kellanova, bringing Pringles under the ownership of one of the world's largest food conglomerates. While the brand originated in the USA, it is now manufactured in several global locations including Belgium, Poland, and Malaysia to serve international markets.
