Jever Pilsener

Jever is a renowned German beer brand named after its town of origin, Jever, located in the Friesland district of Lower Saxony. The brewery, Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever, was founded in 1848 by Diedrich König and has since become famous for its distinctively bitter and hoppy 'Pilsener' flavor profile, influenced by the soft local water.

While the brand maintains its historical identity and local production in Jever, the ownership has evolved through various corporate mergers. Since 2004, Jever has been part of the Radeberger Gruppe, which is the beer division of the family-owned Dr. August Oetker KG. The brand continues to be brewed according to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) and remains a staple of Northern German brewing culture.
