Parodontax is a specialized oral care brand, widely recognized for its focus on gum health and the prevention of bleeding gums. Originally developed in Germany in 1937 by Dr. Focke, the brand was built on a unique formula containing sodium bicarbonate and herbal extracts. Through various historical corporate acquisitions, the brand became a cornerstone of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) consumer healthcare portfolio.

In recent years, the brand underwent a significant ownership shift. In 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into an independent entity known as Haleon. As of 2024 and beyond, Haleon is the ultimate owner and operator of the Parodontax brand globally. While originally a German invention, the manufacturing for the European market is now largely centralized in specialized facilities, most notably in Levice, Slovakia, which serves as a major hub for Haleon's oral care production.
