Pringles Sour Cream & Onion Crisps

Pringles is a globally recognized brand of stackable potato-based crisps, originally developed by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in the United States in the late 1960s. The brand was famously invented by chemist Fredric Baur and later refined by Alexander Liepa. In 2012, the Pringles brand was acquired by Kellogg Company, which later rebranded its snacking division as Kellanova in 2023. Most recently, in late 2024, Mars, Incorporated reached an agreement to acquire Kellanova, bringing Pringles under the ownership of one of the world's largest food conglomerates.

Today, Pringles are manufactured at various facilities worldwide to meet regional demand. For the European market, production is concentrated in Mechelen, Belgium, and Kutno, Poland. The brand remains iconic for its saddle-shaped chips (mathematically known as a hyperbolic paraboloid) and its cylindrical tube packaging, which was designed to prevent the breakage of chips during transport.
