Chantré Weinbrand

Chantré is one of Germany's most popular brandy brands, known for its smooth and mild character. The brand was established in 1953 by Ludwig Eckes, who named it after his wife's maiden name, Chantré. It was developed specifically to cater to a post-war taste preference for softer, less harsh spirits.

Today, Chantré is produced in Eltville am Rhein, Germany. While it remains a quintessentially German brand with deep roots in local distillation traditions, it is currently owned by Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien. This parent company is a leader in the German sparkling wine and spirits market, managing a portfolio that includes some of the most recognized traditional alcohol brands in Central Europe.
