Twinings Lady Grey Tea

Twinings Lady Grey is a globally recognized aromatic black tea blend, celebrated for its delicate infusion of citrus, orange, and lemon peel. The brand's history is deeply rooted in London, where Thomas Twining opened the city's first known tea room at 216 Strand in 1706. This historic location still operates today, and the Twinings logo, created in 1787, remains the world's oldest company logo in continuous use.

Originally a family-owned business for over 250 years, Twinings was acquired in 1964 by Associated British Foods (ABF). Under ABF's ownership, the brand transitioned from a traditional British merchant into a global market leader. While the company maintains its spiritual home and a specialized production facility in Andover, UK, the majority of its manufacturing for international markets—especially the European Union—now takes place at its large-scale facility in Swarzedz, Poland. Additional production hubs are located in China and Nigeria to serve their respective regional markets.

Today, Twinings remains a holder of a Royal Warrant from the British Monarchy and continues to innovate within the tea and wellbeing category. It is controlled by the Weston family through their majority stake in Associated British Foods, a diversified international food, ingredients, and retail group.
