Brastemp is a synonymous of high-quality household appliances in Brazil. Founded in 1954 in São Bernardo do Campo by Grupo Brasmotor, the brand became famous for its innovative refrigerators and washing machines. Its name is a contraction of 'Brasil Temperatura', reflecting its origins as a pioneer in climate control and cooling technology for the Brazilian market.
Over the decades, through various corporate mergers and acquisitions, the brand became part of the Multibrás family, which was later fully integrated into the Whirlpool Corporation. Today, the majority of Brastemp products sold in South America are manufactured in major industrial hubs in Brazil, such as Joinville and Rio Claro. The brand is positioned as a premium offering within the Whirlpool portfolio, continuing a legacy of design-forward kitchen solutions.
