The brand has evolved from a small wooden sled and wagon manufacturer into a global leader in both Nordic and Alpine skiing equipment. Fischer is renowned for its vacuum fit technology and innovative light-weight ski constructions that are frequently seen on professional podiums in World Cup races.

While the brand maintains its headquarters and a high-tech production facility in Austria for high-end race models and prototyping, the vast majority of its commercial production has shifted to Mukachevo, Ukraine. This Ukrainian factory is one of the largest ski production facilities in the world.
