Bepanthen is a globally recognized brand specializing in skin care and wound healing. It was originally launched by the Swiss company Roche in 1944, featuring dexpanthenol as its active ingredient. This ingredient is converted to vitamin B5 in the skin, supporting natural regeneration.

In 2004, the brand was acquired by the German pharmaceutical giant Bayer as part of its acquisition of Roche's consumer health division. Today, Bepanthen remains under the ownership of Bayer AG, headquartered in Leverkusen, Germany. The products are manufactured in various European facilities, with a significant production hub located in Grenzach-Wyhlen, Germany.
