Lauretana is a premium mineral water brand known globally for its exceptional purity and lightness. The water originates from the Monte Rosa massif in the Pennine Alps, specifically from an ancient glacier at approximately 1,050 meters above sea level. It is naturally filtered through granite rocks which prevent mineral buildup, resulting in one of the lowest fixed residues in Europe at just 14 mg/l.
The brand was established following the discovery of the source in the 1960s by Teresio Rossello. Today, the production facility is located in Graglia, Italy, where the water is bottled directly at the source to preserve its natural properties. It is a family-owned enterprise that has maintained its independence from major multinational beverage conglomerates, focusing instead on high-end distribution in gourmet food shops, luxury hotels, and fine dining establishments.
Lauretana is also recognized for its design aesthetic, notably the 'Pininfarina' bottle designed for the catering industry. The brand remains deeply rooted in the Biella province of Italy, where it serves as a significant local employer and a point of pride for Italian natural resources.
