Red Band confectionery

Red Band is an iconic confectionery brand that has been a staple in the Dutch candy market since its founding in 1928. Originally established in Roosendaal, Netherlands, by T.J. Overwater, the brand quickly became famous for its 'Winegum' and 'Drop' (liquorice) assortments. Its name and logo were inspired by the red band on the cigar box owned by the founder.

Today, Red Band is a key brand within the portfolio of the Swedish confectionery giant Cloetta. While the brand remains deeply rooted in Dutch culture and maintains major production facilities in Sneek, Netherlands, some manufacturing processes have been distributed to other European sites, such as Levice, Slovakia, to optimize global supply chains. The brand continues to focus on its classic slogan 'Pret met Red Band' (Fun with Red Band), offering a wide range of fruit gums, liquorice, and sugar-free options to consumers across Northern Europe.
