Chivas Regal Blended Scotch Whisky

Chivas Regal is a world-renowned brand of blended Scotch whisky with roots dating back to 1801, when John Forrest established a grocery store in Aberdeen, Scotland. The business was later taken over by the brothers James and John Chivas, who became pioneers in the art of blending aged whiskies in their basement. In 1909, they launched Chivas Regal 25 Year Old, which was marketed as the world's first luxury whisky.

Throughout the 20th century, the brand gained international fame, particularly in the United States following the end of Prohibition. It underwent several changes in ownership, including a notable period under Seagram of Canada starting in 1949. Since 2001, Chivas Regal has been owned by the French spirits giant Pernod Ricard. The whisky continues to be produced in Scotland, with its spiritual home located at the Strathisla distillery in Speyside—the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Scottish Highlands. The brand remains a leader in the premium whisky market, known for its smooth, rich profile and long-standing associations with luxury and craftsmanship.
