Although the brand was originally founded by General Mills in the United States, in many international markets like Portugal, it is part of a strategic joint venture between General Mills and Nestlé called Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW).

Manufacturing for the European market typically occurs in regional CPW facilities, such as those located in Poland or France, rather than a single production site. The ultimate ownership is split through this 50/50 joint venture, which allows Nestlé to distribute and market General Mills' popular cereal recipes across Europe and other continents using Nestlé's global logistics network.
