Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer

Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a premium Italian pilsner brewed by Birra Peroni in Italy. Launched in 1963, it was named after the 'Blue Ribbon' (Nastro Azzurro) won by the Italian ocean liner SS Rex in 1933. The brand has become a global symbol of Italian style and craftsmanship.

While its heart remains in Italy with major production facilities in Rome, Bari, and Padua, its global success sparked multiple ownership changes. Originally a family-run business, Birra Peroni was acquired by SABMiller in 2003. In 2016, following the merger of Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller, the brand was sold to the Japanese beverage giant Asahi Group Holdings to comply with antitrust regulations. Today, it operates as a flagship international brand within Asahi's global portfolio.
