Originally known for its vegetable-based soap (såpa), the brand has become a hallmark of Swedish cleaning traditions, focusing on environmentally friendly ingredients and effectiveness.

The product featured, Grumme Diskmedel Natur, is a concentrated dishwashing liquid. It is primarily manufactured in Sweden, specifically at the production facilities in Falun. This local production ensures high standards in sustainability and environmental impact, often carrying certifications like the Nordic Swan Ecolabel (Svanen).

Since 2019, the Grumme brand has been owned by Orkla, a leading Norwegian conglomerate. Following Orkla's acquisition of the brand from Cederroth, it has been integrated into Orkla Home & Personal Care. Despite the Norwegian ownership, the brand maintains its strong Swedish identity and continues to focus on the Nordic market.
