Fazer Tyrkisk Peber

Tyrkisk Peber (Danish for 'Turkish Pepper') is a world-renowned brand of salty liquorice candy flavored with ammonium chloride and black pepper. The brand was originally invented in Denmark in 1976 by Per Fjelsten, whose company, Perelly, first brought the fiery candy to market in 1977. Its distinctive profile—a hard liquorice shell with a potent, spicy powder center—quickly made it a cult favorite across the Nordic and Baltic regions.

The brand was acquired by the Finnish confectionery giant Fazer in the 1990s. Since then, production has been centered primarily in Finland. Today, Tyrkisk Peber remains one of Fazer’s most iconic exports, available in various formats including original hard candies, soft chews, and even as a flavoring for spirits and ice creams, maintained under the strict quality standards of the Fazer Group.
