Apotekarnes Julmust

Apotekarnes Julmust is Sweden's most iconic seasonal beverage, originally launched in the early 20th century as a non-alcoholic alternative to beer during the Christmas season. The drink has a unique, malted flavor derived from a secret hop and malt extract.

The brand was founded in 1874 when several pharmacists (apotekare) in Stockholm joined forces to form 'Apotekarnes Mineralvattens AB'. While many brands produce Julmust, Apotekarnes has become synonymous with the drink, commanding a significant market share during December.

Today, the brand is owned by Carlsberg Sverige, the Swedish subsidiary of the Danish brewing giant Carlsberg Group. It is primarily brewed and bottled at Carlsberg's production facility in Falkenberg, Sweden.
