Lillet is a classic French wine-based aperitif with a rich heritage dating back to 1872. It was originally created by the brothers Paul and Raymond Lillet in Podensac, a small village south of Bordeaux, France. Historically known as Kina Lillet, the blend consists of Bordeaux wines combined with fruit liqueurs and cinchona bark, giving it a unique floral and citrusy profile.
Today, Lillet is exclusively produced in its original home of Podensac, maintaining its authentic French craftsmanship. Since 2008, the brand has been part of the portfolio of Pernod Ricard, one of the world's leading spirits and wine companies headquartered in Paris. Lillet has grown into a global icon, frequently used in high-end cocktails like the Vesper Martini or simply served chilled with tonic and garnish.
