Knoppers is a popular milk-hazelnut wafer brand that was originally launched in West Germany in 1983. The brand expanded its lineup with the Knoppers PeanutBar, a chocolate-covered bar combining the classic wafer layers with peanuts and caramel. Historically, Knoppers was known for its square wafer format, but the bar variant was introduced to compete in the traditional candy bar market.
The product is manufactured by August Storck KG, a major German confectionery producer. Production is primarily centered in Germany, particularly at their facilities in Halle (Westphalia) or Berlin, from where it is exported to over 100 countries worldwide. The brand remains under the private ownership of the Storck family, maintaining its heritage as a classic German snack brand.
