Farris Frus Eple & Kiwi is a flavored sparkling mineral water that combines natural mineral water from the historic Farris springs with a touch of fruit juice and sweetness. The Farris brand is Norway's oldest and most iconic mineral water, with a history dating back to 1907 when it was first bottled under the name 'Salus' at the King Olav V's spring in Larvik.
The water itself originates from rainwater that filters through a glacial moraine in the Beech Tree Forest (Bøkeskogen), taking approximately 20 years to reach the source where it becomes naturally enriched with minerals. In 1915, the brand was renamed Farris, after the lake near Larvik. Today, the production and bottling still take place at the original facility in Larvik, Norway.
Farris is owned by Ringnes AS, which is the largest brewery and beverage company in Norway. Ringnes itself is a subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group, a global brewing leader headquartered in Denmark. Farris Frus is a modern extension of the brand, designed as a zero-calorie alternative to traditional sodas, containing 1% natural juice and less carbonation than the standard Farris line.
