Taffel Dild Chips

Taffel is a renowned snack brand with a strong heritage in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The brand was originally established in 1969 on the Åland Islands, Finland, by the company Chips Ab (now known as Chips Group). It was the first producer of potato chips in Finland, launching with its classic salted variety. The brand's presence in Denmark also dates back several decades, where it has become a staple in the local snack market.

Since 2005, Taffel has been owned by the Norwegian industrial conglomerate Orkla ASA, which acquired the Chips Group. Today, the brand is managed under the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division. Manufacturing is distributed across several specialized facilities in Europe to serve different regional markets. Key production sites include the original factory in Haraldsby, Åland (Finland), and a significant facility in Ādaži (Latvia). The potatoes used are primarily sourced from local farmers in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, and Lithuania, reflecting the brand's commitment to regional quality and sustainability.
