Agrial Cooperative

Agrial is a prominent French agricultural cooperative and food-processing group established in 2000 through the merger of three cooperatives: Agralco, Coop can, and Orcal. With over 12,000 farmer members and approximately 22,000 employees, Agrial operates in various sectors, including dairy, beef, poultry, vegetables, and fruit. The cooperative is headquartered in Caen, France, and has a significant presence in Europe and the United States. In September 2025, Agrial announced a proposed merger with Terrena, another major French cooperative, aiming to create the largest agricultural cooperative in France by early 2027, with a combined turnover exceeding €12 billion. This merger is subject to approval by their members and the French Competition Authority. Agrial's mission is to satisfy the diverse food needs of consumers while preserving the planet, developing an innovative cooperative model, creating shared value, and meeting the aspirations of its farmer members and employees.
