Otrivin is a well-known brand of decongestant nasal spray, used globally for the relief of nasal congestion. The brand was originally developed by Geigy, a Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical company that later merged to become part of Novartis. It has been a staple in medicine cabinets for decades due to its cooling menthol variants and preservative-free formulas.
In July 2022, Haleon was established as a result of the demerger of GSK's consumer healthcare business, which had previously integrated Novartis's consumer health portfolio. Consequently, Otrivin is now owned by Haleon, a major independent consumer healthcare company headquartered in the United Kingdom. While the brand is global, much of the research and high-standard manufacturing for European markets takes place in Switzerland.
