Primus Portable Stove

Primus, founded in 1892 in Stockholm, Sweden, by Frans Wilhelm Lindqvist and Johan Viktor Svenson, is renowned for its portable stoves and outdoor cooking equipment. The name 'Primus' means 'the first' in Latin, reflecting its pioneering design of the world's first soot-free kerosene stove. Over the years, Primus has been the stove of choice for numerous expeditions, including Roald Amundsen's South Pole journey in 1911 and the first ascent of Mount Everest by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary in 1953. In 1994, Primus established a factory in Tartu, Estonia, to meet growing demand and ensure high-quality European production.
