Carr's is a historic British brand specializing in biscuits and crackers, founded in 1831 by Jonathan Dodgson Carr in Carlisle, England. The company gained prominence with its Table Water Crackers, which received a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria in 1841. Over the years, Carr's expanded its product range and underwent several ownership changes. In 1972, it was acquired by United Biscuits, a leading UK-based snack company. In 2014, United Biscuits was acquired by Yıldız Holding, a Turkish multinational food company. In 2016, Yıldız Holding combined United Biscuits with its other snack brands to form Pladis Global, the current owner of Carr's. Carr's products are primarily manufactured in the United Kingdom, with the original factory in Carlisle being the oldest biscuit factory in the world. The brand is marketed in the United States by Kellogg's. (pladisglobal.com)
