Grundfos is a Danish company founded in 1945 by Poul Due Jensen in Bjerringbro, Denmark. Initially named Bjerringbro Pressestøberi og Maskinfabrik, the company changed its name to Bjerringbro Pumpefabrik in 1953 and later to Grundfos in 1967. It is the world's largest pump manufacturer, producing over 16 million pump units annually, including circulator, submersible, and centrifugal pumps. Grundfos also manufactures electric motors for pumps and develops electronic controls for various systems. The company operates in over 60 countries, with more than 19,000 employees globally. The Poul Due Jensen Foundation, established in 1975, owns approximately 86% of Grundfos Holding A/S, with the remaining shares held by employees and the founder's family. The foundation is a self-governing institution based in Denmark.
