Merrild Koffeinlet is a Danish coffee product designed for those who enjoy the full taste of coffee with reduced caffeine content. The coffee beans are sourced from the best coffee-growing regions worldwide. In a gentle process, caffeine is removed from half of the beans without affecting the aroma or taste. The beans are then blended and roasted to develop a rich and mild flavor profile. The product is manufactured in Denmark by Merrild Kaffe ApS, a company founded in 1964 by Møller Merrild. In 1979, Merrild was acquired by the Dutch coffee company Douwe Egberts, which was later sold to the American company Sara Lee. In 2015, the Italian coffee house Lavazza acquired Merrild Kaffe ApS, bringing the brand under its ownership. Lavazza is headquartered in Italy and is renowned for its premium coffee products and global presence. Merrild Koffeinlet is available in 400g packages and is suitable for brewing in filter coffee machines or pour-over methods, offering a fine and mild taste experience with fullness and a hint of hazelnut.
