Kellogg's Frosties cereal

Kellogg's Frosties, known as Frosted Flakes in North America, is one of the world's most iconic breakfast cereals. Originally introduced in 1952 by the Kellogg Company in the United States, the cereal is made from sugar-coated corn flakes and is represented by the legendary mascot Tony the Tiger.

Following a strategic corporate split in October 2023, the brand was divided between two entities: Kellanova (retaining international rights and global snacking) and WK Kellogg Co (retaining North American cereal operations). By 2026, the ownership landscape shifted significantly following a wave of industry consolidation. Mars, Incorporated completed its acquisition of Kellanova in December 2025, bringing the 'Frosties' brand (outside North America) under its global snacking umbrella. Simultaneously, the North American business, WK Kellogg Co, was acquired by the Ferrero Group in September 2025.

Manufacturing of Frosties occurs in various regional hubs to supply global markets. Major production facilities are located in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Egypt for the European and Middle Eastern markets, while the American and Canadian versions (Frosted Flakes) are primarily produced in facilities in Michigan, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania.
