Tuborg is a Danish brewing company founded in 1873 in Hellerup, Denmark. The name 'Tuborg' originates from 'Thuesborg,' referring to an inn from the 1690s in Copenhagen. In 1970, Tuborg merged with Carlsberg Brewery, becoming part of the Carlsberg Group. Tuborg's flagship product is the Tuborg Green lager, a bottom-fermented beer brewed with lightly roasted malt, resulting in a mild, fresh taste with floral and grainy aromas. The brewery also produces seasonal beers like Tuborg Julebryg, a dark pilsner with flavors of caramel and English liquorice, traditionally released during the Christmas season in Denmark. Tuborg's products are primarily brewed in Denmark, with the Fredericia Brewery being the main production site.
