OMO is a Norwegian brand of laundry detergent that was launched in 1961 by Lilleborg AS, a Norwegian company. Over the years, OMO has become Norway's most preferred laundry detergent, offering a range of products tailored for different laundry needs, including detergents for colored, white, and sports clothing. In 1983, OMO introduced the TAED system, enabling effective washing at lower temperatures, aligning with changing consumer washing habits. The brand has also been committed to environmental sustainability, being the first household product to receive the Nordic Swan Ecolabel in 1993. In 2000, Lilleborg AS was acquired by Unilever PLC, a British-Dutch multinational company, making OMO a part of Unilever's extensive portfolio of consumer goods. Today, OMO continues to be produced primarily in Norway, with some products also manufactured in other locations, maintaining its reputation for quality and environmental responsibility.
