Lindex clothing

Lindex is a prominent international fashion retailer that traces its origins back to 1954 in Alingsås, Sweden. Founded by Ingemar Boman and Bengt Rosell, it initially started as a lingerie store named Fynd before acquiring the Lindex company in Gothenburg and adopting its name. Over the decades, the brand expanded its offerings to include womenswear and children's clothing, becoming a staple in the Nordic fashion market.

Today, Lindex does not own its own manufacturing facilities. Instead, it works with a network of independent suppliers globally. The company maintains production offices in strategic locations including Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, and Turkey to oversee quality and sustainability standards. Ownership of the brand shifted in 2007 when it was acquired by the Finnish retail giant Stockmann. As of 2024, the parent company has rebranded itself from Stockmann Group to Lindex Group plc to better reflect the central importance of the Lindex brand to its global operations.
