Fanta Zero Sugar Lemon soft drink

Fanta is a global brand of fruit-flavored carbonated soft drinks originally created by Coca-Cola Deutschland during World War II. The brand was born out of necessity in 1940 when the American trade embargo against Nazi Germany made it impossible to import the essential syrup for Coca-Cola. Max Keith, the head of operations in Germany, developed a new beverage using locally available ingredients like whey and apple pomace. The name 'Fanta' was derived from the German word for imagination, Fantasie.

After the war, The Coca-Cola Company regained control of the brand. While the original German version was discontinued, the brand was relaunched in Naples, Italy, in 1955 with a new orange-flavored formula that became the foundation for the modern Fanta we know today. In Denmark, Fanta products are typically manufactured locally by Carlsberg Danmark, which serves as the primary bottling partner and distributor for The Coca-Cola Company in the Danish market.

Today, Fanta is the second-oldest brand in The Coca-Cola Company's portfolio and is sold in over 190 countries with hundreds of regional flavor variants. The 'Zero Sugar' line represents the company's modern shift toward providing low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives to its classic sparkling beverages.
