Today, the Anchor butter sold in British supermarkets is primarily produced in the United Kingdom, specifically at the Westbury dairy creamery in Wiltshire. This localized production ensures that the product can carry the Union Jack on its packaging while maintaining the traditional churning methods that established the brand's reputation for quality.

Ownership of the Anchor brand is split by geography. While it remains a flagship brand for the New Zealand cooperative Fonterra globally, the rights to the Anchor brand within the United Kingdom and Europe are owned and managed by Arla Foods, a massive European dairy cooperative. This partnership allows the brand to benefit from Arla's extensive European supply chain and manufacturing facilities.
