Garmont is an Italian brand specializing in outdoor footwear, particularly hiking boots, founded in 1964 by Calzaturificio Morlin in the Veneto region. The company has a rich heritage in crafting high-quality, innovative footwear designed for mountaineering, hiking, and other outdoor activities. Over the years, Garmont has expanded its presence globally, distributing products in over 30 countries. In 2012, Scott Sports acquired Garmont's North American operations, including the LifeLink division, which specializes in backcountry ski equipment. In 2021, Riello Investimenti Partners, an Italian private equity firm, acquired a 65% stake in Garmont International Srl, marking a significant shift in the company's ownership structure. Despite these changes, Garmont continues to operate with its headquarters in Vedelago, Italy, and maintains a strong presence in the outdoor footwear market, emphasizing innovation and quality in its product offerings.
