Gigaset is a prominent German telecommunications brand with a history rooted in the Siemens corporation. Originally established as 'Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices,' the brand became independent after being acquired by Arques Industries in 2008 and later rebranded as Gigaset. The company is particularly well-known for being the only major European manufacturer to maintain a production plant in Germany (located in Bocholt), where a significant portion of its cordless handsets and smartphones are designed and assembled.

In early 2024, Gigaset underwent a major corporate transition following financial restructuring. The company's assets and core business operations were acquired by VTech Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based multinational. Today, Gigaset operates as part of the VTech family, integrating German engineering and manufacturing standards with the global resources of one of the world's largest manufacturers of residential telephones.
