Staropramen Lager Beer

Staropramen is a world-renowned Czech lager with a heritage dating back to 1869, when it was first founded in the Smíchov district of Prague. It has grown from a local brewery into the second-largest brewery in the Czech Republic and a global symbol of Prague's brewing culture. Today, while the heart of the brand remains in Prague, its production has expanded through international licensing to various European countries.

The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. In 2012, it was acquired by Molson Coors Beverage Company from StarBev. As of 2024 and beyond, Staropramen remains a flagship international brand within the Molson Coors portfolio, which is headquartered in both the United States and Canada. This global ownership has enabled the brand to reach consumers in over 30 countries while maintaining its authentic 'Spirit of Prague' identity.
