Lewis Leathers, established in 1892 as D. Lewis Ltd, is the oldest British motorcycle clothing company. The brand gained prominence in the mid-1950s with the introduction of the Bronx leather jacket, which became iconic among the Ton-up Boys and Rockers of the 1960s. Over the years, Lewis Leathers has been associated with various motorcycle and rock culture icons, including members of The Sex Pistols and The Clash. In 2017, the brand was acquired by Japanese entrepreneur Saaya Harris Nohara, who has been instrumental in revitalizing the brand and expanding its global presence. While the primary manufacturing is based in the United Kingdom, Lewis Leathers also produces its products in other locations to meet international demand.
