Lakrids by Bülow is a Danish premium confectionery brand founded by Johan Bülow on the island of Bornholm in 2007. The brand is credited with pioneering the concept of chocolate-coated salty liquorice, which has since become a global gourmet sensation.

All products are produced in the company's own factory in Hvidovre, just outside Copenhagen, Denmark. This centralized production ensures high-quality standards and allows the brand to maintain its commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. In 2016, the private equity firm Valedo Partners became the majority owner to facilitate international expansion, though Johan Bülow remains a significant shareholder and the creative face of the brand.
