Dobble, also known as Spot It! in North America, is a fast-paced pattern recognition card game. The game was originally created in France by Denis Blanchot and the company Play Factory, based on a mathematical observation known as Kirkman's Schoolgirl Problem.
Today, the brand is owned by the French company Asmodee Group. While the intellectual property and design are managed from France, the physical production of the game, including its iconic metal tins and specialized circular cards, primarily takes place in China to leverage large-scale manufacturing capabilities. Asmodee itself has undergone significant corporate changes, becoming a major global player in the board game industry through numerous acquisitions before being acquired by the Swedish gaming conglomerate Embracer Group.
