The Panasonic Toot-a-Loop Radio, also known as the R-72, was a novelty wrist-worn radio produced by Panasonic in the early 1970s. Designed to be wrapped around the wrist, it featured AM radio reception and came with stickers for customization. The radio was shaped like a donut with an off-center hole, and when twisted, the two halves would pivot to form an 'S' shape. One side housed the speaker grille, and the tuner was located inside one of the splits, requiring the radio to be twisted into the 'S' position for tuning. The volume control was on the outer diameter and could be adjusted regardless of the radio's position. The Toot-a-Loop was available in several colors, including white, red, blue, and yellow, and was also produced in orange and lime for the Australian and New Zealand markets, where it was sold under the National Panasonic brand as a 'Sing-O-Ring' radio. The advertisement song for this product went, 'It's an S it's an O it's a crazy radio! Toot a loop!'. (en.wikipedia.org)
