Havrefras is a classic Nordic breakfast cereal made from puffed oat squares. It was originally launched in 1959 by the Danish company OTA. The brand has become a staple in Scandinavian households, known for its high whole grain content and distinctive texture.
Historically, the brand was owned by Quaker Oats, which later became a subsidiary of PepsiCo. However, in recent years, the Nordic rights for the Quaker cereal brands, including Havrefras, were acquired by the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in Denmark and distributed across the Nordic region through Orkla's local subsidiaries.
