Levi's jeans

Levi's is one of the world's most iconic apparel brands, best known for inventing the blue jean in 1873. While the brand is synonymous with American heritage and Western culture, its manufacturing has transitioned from domestic U.S. plants to a vast global network. Today, mass-market production occurs across approximately 30 countries, with major hubs in China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, and Mexico. These locations are chosen based on their expertise in textile manufacturing and proximity to key regional markets.

Ownership of the brand has largely remained within the family of the founder for over a century. After being private for many years, the company returned to the public market in 2019, but descendants of the Haas family (relatives of Levi Strauss) still maintain a significant controlling interest. Through the 2020s, the company has continued to modernize its supply chain and expand its brand portfolio, which includes other labels such as Dockers and Beyond Yoga.
