Turun Sinappi is a Finnish mustard brand established in 1948 by the foodstuffs manufacturer Jalostaja. The name 'Turun Sinappi' translates to 'Turku mustard,' named after the Finnish city of Turku. The mustard is known for its dark yellow, finely ground texture and is available in various types, including Mieto (mild), Väkevä (strong), Tulinen (fiery), and Linnan Sinappi (Mustard of the Castle). The logo features the profile of Turku Castle. In the early 2000s, Unilever acquired Jalostaja, leading to the production of Turun Sinappi being moved to Uppsala, Sweden, and later to Poland. In 2014, production returned to Finland. The brand is recognized for its distinctive taste and has been a staple in Finnish cuisine, often served with sausages and other traditional dishes.
