Stimorol is a Danish brand of chewing gum that was introduced in 1956. Originally produced by the Danish company Dandy, it became part of the global confectionery market over the years. In 2002, the majority of Dandy, including the Stimorol brand, was acquired by Cadbury-Schweppes, which later rebranded it as Trident. The remaining part of the company, including the Stimorol brand, was renamed Gumlink and remained under the ownership of the Bagger-Sørensen family, descendants of the founder Holger Sørensen. In 2023, the Stimorol brand was acquired by Perfetti Van Melle, an Italian-Dutch multinational confectionery and gum manufacturer, known for brands like Mentos and Chupa Chups. This acquisition expanded Perfetti Van Melle's presence in the Scandinavian market, where Stimorol has a strong brand recognition. The manufacturing of Stimorol products, including variants like Air Rush Menthol & Eucalyptus gum, is primarily based in Denmark, but production also occurs in other locations to meet global demand. The brand's association with Denmark remains strong, reflecting its origins and continued popularity in the region.
