It is crafted from a secret blend of 29 herbs, spices, and flowers, including angelica root, nutmeg, aniseed, ginger, and rowanberries. The production process involves macerating these botanicals in 96% pure alcohol for three months, followed by dilution with water to achieve an alcohol content of 38%. The distinctive bottle, designed by architect Bent Severin, features a unique neck shape that produces a characteristic 'chuckling' sound when poured. Originally produced by De Danske Spritfabrikker, the brand is now owned by Arcus-Gruppen AS, a Norwegian company specializing in alcoholic beverages.
