Moleskine notebook

Moleskine is a prestigious brand of notebooks, planners, and stationery that pays homage to the legendary notebooks used by European artists and thinkers like Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Ernest Hemingway. The brand was created to revive the traditional black oilcloth notebooks that went out of production in the late 1980s.

While the brand's headquarters and creative heart remain in Milan, Italy, the vast majority of its production occurs in China to handle global demand, though premium leather and specialty lines are sometimes produced in Italy. In 2016, the brand was acquired by the Belgian automotive and distribution giant D'Ieteren Group, which has focused on expanding the brand's digital presence and luxury market positioning.
