Kvikk Lunsj is a beloved Norwegian chocolate bar introduced in 1937 by Freia, a company founded in 1889. Over the years, Kvikk Lunsj has become a cultural icon in Norway, often associated with the country's tradition of 'friluftsliv' (outdoor life). In 2005, Freia replaced the traditional foil wrapper with airtight packaging, a change that sparked strong reactions among Norwegians who cherished the original design. In 2012, Freia was acquired by Mondelez International, a global leader in the snack industry. Today, Kvikk Lunsj continues to be produced by Mondelez Norge AS, the Norwegian subsidiary of Mondelez International, and remains a staple in Norwegian confectionery, enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike.
