Originally launched in 1963 as 'Natrena Diätsüße' by Bayer AG, it was rebranded to 'Natreen Diätsüße' in 1964. The brand expanded its product range in the 1970s and 1980s, introducing various sweetener products. In 1996, Bayer AG acquired Natreen, and in 2012, the brand became part of Jacobs Douwe Egberts following the split of Sara Lee Corporation. Jacobs Douwe Egberts is a leading global coffee and tea company headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, formed from the merger of Jacobs Coffee and Douwe Egberts. Natreen's products are primarily manufactured in Germany, with some production also taking place in other locations.
