Jacobs is a heritage-rich coffee brand that dates back to 1895 when Johann Jacobs opened a coffee and tea shop in Bremen, Germany. It has since become one of Europe's most prominent coffee brands, widely recognized for its 'Krönung' (Coronation) line.

Today, the brand is part of JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea powerhouse formed through the merger of D.E Master Blenders 1753 and Mondelez International's coffee business. While the brand originated and maintains a strong manufacturing presence in Germany, its products are distributed worldwide. The ultimate ownership lies with JDE Peet's, which is headquartered in the Netherlands and largely controlled by the investment firm JAB Holding Company.
